Fall CSA Shares at Long Table Farm

Several of our long term members swear that our fall share season is the best season. The growing conditions in this part of New England seem to always align to produce the brightest, most beautiful fall crops.

For 2023, our fall season runs from October 12th to December 21st. We provide you with a double share the week before Thanksgiving and the last week. Our Thanksgiving share is in quantities useful for a feast, as well as themed with traditional veggie dishes in mind.

Crops in the Fall Share

We have a fabulous crop of fall greens, beets, broccoli and cauliflower coming along in the greenhouse, as well as a bumper crop of garlic, potatoes and an abundance of onions. Our sweet potatoes are looking good, as well as our winter squash crop. We have fall broccolini, cabbages, radishes and carrots seeded. We will have late summer crops to feature such as the last of our tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. We will have several crops of turnips and daikon radishes rounding out our root veggie offerings. Greens will include head lettuce, baby salad mix, escarole, arugula and frisee. We’ll have kale, pac choi, Chinese cabbage and swiss chard as well. As always, micro greens will be abundant!

How to pick up your share

Your share will be available on Saturdays from 10AM to 1PM in our beautiful barn at 256 Beaver Brook Road in Lyme. PYO herbs will be available during these hours as well. Shares that are not picked up on Saturday morning will be available (self service) from Saturday afternoon at 2PM to Monday morning at 10AM, daylight hour only, from our cooler. We will be inviting a few select, local food growers, food trucks and purveyors to join us in our barn during CSA pick up. We will have our high welfare whole chickens available during CSA pick up, as well as our pork and delicious duck eggs.
