Farm Hand

Daily activities:

1.      Primarily vegetable and fruit production with moderate to minimal livestock work

a.      Vegetable production activities include bed prep (mostly racking, broad fork), mulching, seeding, transplanting, weeding (scuffle and wheel hoe), trellising and pruning

b.      Livestock daily care-taking chores include rotational grazing paddock set up, mucking, cleaning, watering, feeding and bedding

2.      Produce and egg harvest, wash, pack & option to attend farmers markets & CSA

3.      Maintain a neat, orderly and beautiful farmscape

Requirements:

1.      Excellent personal and professional references for a growth-based mindset, willingness to collaborate and evolve with fellow farmers

2.      Reliable working memory, with the ability to remember and execute verbal and or written instructions (SOP) and ask questions and adapt when needed

3.      Ability to lift 40#, crouch, knell, bend over or stand for 8 hours per day and participate at a daily morning meeting prompt and ready

4.      Like dogs (preferably love)

Desired Experience:

1.      2+ seasons on a similar scale and type of farm

2.      Communal living and working close to nature with a value on sustainability

3.      Demonstrated interest in regenerative agriculture through formal or informal education

Compensation:

Full time position with on farm housing and food plus a generous stipend.  Folx who work at LTF can grow their personal wealth.  Paid vacation and sick time.  Returners increase vacation time.
